Located in the quiet coastal village of Venus Bay, in Boonwurrung Country, Victoria, Australia, on the shoreline of the wild waters of Tayaritja / Bass Strait, EcOArt is a private residency exchange offering creatives, writers and researchers a place and space to work undisturbed and at their own pace.
The self-contained, 3 bedroom mid-century coastal beach house provides residents with simple comforts of living in a beautiful, calming natural environment that touches the sea and stretches along an uninterrupted shoreline from the river inlet of the Tarwin, to the majestic Yiruk/Wamoon [Wilson's Promontory] whose rugged ancient coastline once connected mainland Australia with the Island of Lutruwita [Tasmania].
Included in the exchange is a large 6m x 6m art studio that looks out across majestic dunes and expansive tidal wetlands.
This is a no-money exchange of residences
The home and studio are owned by visual artist and educator, Donna Wright, who offers her space to friends and fellow creatives as an exchange opportunity when she is traveling and working in other locations in Australia and overseas.
